I think small adjustments to the original would be better than whatever they'll come out with for the next one. Add a new race, a new terrain type, new objectives, and a few new units and it works breathe so much life into the game.Īlso, I love the idea of the galactic campaign but over the years design flaws became very apparent. The game would also benefit so much from a little more variety. But as a community game you can't stop others from engaging with these additions and therefore can't just ignore them. I'd argue that the game right now is worse than it was at release, because the devs had ideas that they added over time but either didn't have time to playtest or weren't very concerned about balance under the theory that anyone that didn't like it could just skip it. I think Helldivers is exactly the game that should have a sequel that just upgrades and iterates on the original. If that button doesn’t appear, you’re on a 32-bit system. When DxDiag opens, check to see if there’s a button that says Run 64-bit DxDiag. Wow, that's a take I strongly disagree with. To get a dxdiag follow these steps: Press the Windows key and type dxdiag in the search box. No story, no supplementary gameplay, a really shallow and short progression system, etc. Something really special is at the core but it has very little content. We have one, and it's a pretty bare experience. COD 2 isn't the same as the 15th iteration they're on now. Yeah, new COD games are getting called out for being stale. XCOM 2 was largely the same as the original but it was still an incredible game that improved and expanded within its niche. Regardless it's not a new idea to sell a sequel that carries forward most of the tech and mechanics from the earlier game. We don't know how much they could have done via DLC, it depends on the limits of the engine and the features they built out. It takes a whole 2 seconds to imagine 10 things they could do. Taking a known formula that works, and expanding/perfecting etc.Ĭlearly what Helldivers did can be improved and expanded. While Michael dives to help keep the Hive in the air. Michael Everheart - the boy once known as Tin - has grown into a man and the commander of Hell Diver Raptor Team. Those he left behind went on without him aboard the airship he once called home. But at their core, they remained the same, and this was a big part of the draw. Ten years ago, Hell Diver Xavier X Rodriguez fell to Earth. Yes the sequels introduced new mechanics. I don't think you're giving my arguments much thought. Join over 2,000 other Helldivers in our Discord! Again, this isn't going to be enforced heavy-handedly, it's not like a single off-topic rant is bannable, but if you start spamming links to cash-for-click sites or whatever, you will get banned. This includes affiliate links and unrelated content. While we won't ban negative comments and so forth, if you have a repeated history of making caustic remarks for the sole purpose of being confrontational, we won't hesitate to ban - regardless of how monolithic you think you are in the community. We're not enforcing this rule as a form of censorship, we're enforcing this because subreddits tend to get lots of new players, and the last thing we as a community should do is make people tuck tail and run. Clearly jokes and stuff are fine, but if you're harassing someone, that's not cool. Other than that, have fun, and be excellent to each other! We're really passionate about the game, so we ask that posts in this subreddit be relevant to Helldivers - other content should go on /r/gaming or /r/games. Why am I so indecisive? I have like 4 Apple devices that all do the same thing and I think nothing of it.This is an unofficial subreddit for Helldivers. I've debated cancelling it for a digital console, or just not getting the second PS5 at all. Really dumb and the definition of a first world problem, but I wanted to share and see if anyone else has been in the same boat? I currently have the Spidey 2 PS5 on order at GameStop for my second unit. But now I'm having second thoughts as I feel weird about buying a duplicate console when I could spend that money on more games. I told myself the solution is to get a second PS5 so I can have one in each spot. I'm not satisfied with how it looks (due to the image issues) and it's obviously smaller. Anyway, the wife wants me to be upstairs more often so I moved my PS5 to the 65". I'm extremely lucky to have both, though the image is on the fritz for the bedroom TV. I have a 77" OLED downstairs and a 65" LCD in the bedroom. This is a dumb story about my indecisiveness, but I need a place to vent.
